Die Hard 6 Possible Release Date Leaks & Latest 2022 Updates!

The “Die Hard” series embodies everything a movie can be. The original “Die Hard” was a masterpiece, a masterful work of action filmmaking that continues to enchant audiences to this day. The second movie was a good sequel but, understandably, didn’t reach the standard set by the first.
From there, the series quickly fell into mediocrity, culminating in the gruesome “A Good Day to Die Hard” in 2013. With a sixth, and possibly last, Die Hard film in development, what can we expect from the next movie dubbed ‘McClane’? Please keep reading to learn everything we know.
Die Hard 6 release date
The release of this film is not yet scheduled. The picture is still in development, and we all know how long it takes to shoot an action blockbuster and even longer to complete post-production.
The current coronavirus outbreak is unlikely to move things anytime soon.
Following the release of A Good Day To Die Hard in 2013, Fox Studios began exploring the possibility of a sixth sequel, potentially in reaction to the film’s lackluster critical reception.
However, a die hard 6 has been in development since 2017, with the film focusing on both young and current John and reuniting him with his ex-wife Holly.
Following Disney’s acquisition of Fox in 2019, plans for a theatrical release were then scrapped altogether in August 2019.
However, allegations surfaced in the summer of 2019 that Disney was developing McClane as a streaming series, likely for Disney+ or Hulu. As it stands, I expect “McClane” or Die Hard 6 to arrive in 2022 or later.
Die Hard 6 Plot
Die Hard 6, the sixth film in the franchise, is called “McClane” and, as the title suggests, will likely focus on John McClane’s character more than ever.
According to reports, the new movie will serve as a prequel and sequel, alternating between past and present. According to reports, the prequel sequences will portray John McClane as a rookie officer, played by a different actor.

Before you get upset, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has announced that Bruce Willis will be reprising his role as senior McClane.
Now, without a doubt, the film will pit John against another terrorist gang and their heinous terrorist plan. However, we’re not sure what kind of terrorists McClane might kill this time around.
After covering cyberterrorism in “Live Free or Die Hard,” I could imagine the show focusing on bioterrorism, with a world-ending virus wreaking havoc across the globe.
Plus, we can expect the upcoming film to explain a lot about John’s background, and it could serve as a sort of genesis story for this guy we all know and adore.
Given that “McClane” will shed light on John’s formative years, Holly Gennaro is another character who could make a comeback.
Die Hard Retrospective
The first “Die Hard” was released in 1988 and quickly elevated Bruce Willis to global superstar status.
The central narrative of the story follows Detective John McClane, an off-duty NYPD detective who visits Holly Gennaro McClane at her workplace in Nakatomi Plaza.
John and Holly are having marital difficulties but are forced to put their troubles aside when the building is taken over by an East German terrorist squad commanded by the charming Hans Gruber.
Gruber and his band of bespoke thugs plan to steal $640 million in bearer bonds from the vault, but their plot is compromised when John eludes arrest and volunteers to stop the terrorists.
McClane must transform into a one-man army with the help of his new buddy, Los Angeles police officer Sgt. Al Powell, to rescue his wife and Nakatomi Corporation employees from a hostage scenario.
Bruce Willis as John McClane, British comedian Alan Rickman as Hans Gruber, actress Bonnie Bedelia as Holly Gennero-McClane, Reginald VelJohnson as Sgt.
Al Powell made up the main cast of the film. The picture was a critical and commercial triumph, earning a spot on the United States National Film Registry and being generally considered one of the best action films of all time.
Two years after the release of the original film, a sequel titled “Die Hard 2” debuted to much buzz and expectation. As with the first “Die Hard” movie, the sequel to Christmas Eve in Washington, DC.
John awaits the arrival of his wife Holly’s plane at Washington Dulles International Airport when an elite mercenary squad commanded by former US Army Special Forces Colonel Stuart takes control of the airport and takes everyone hostage.
As John becomes aware of what is happening, he resumes his efforts to prevent the terrorists’ plot to free Latin American drug lord and tyrant General Ramon Esperanza.
Although not as culturally significant as the original film, “Die Hard 2” was a box office success.
The third film, “Die Hard with a Vengeance”, was released in 1995 and is set in McClane’s hometown of New York. John McClane’s marriage broke up and he was suspended from the police department due to his heavy drinking.
However, John must quickly come to his senses when a faceless terrorist calling himself “Simon” (played by British actor Jeremy Irons) phones and tells him about many explosives coming to town unless John solves various heists. -head and obstacles.

John is not alone this time, as Samuel L. Jackson’s Zeus Carver accompanies him. Simon is ultimately revealed to be Hans Gruber’s brother from the previous film, and he prepares to rob the New York Federal Reserve while John is engaged in his games.
“Die Hard with a Vengeance” garnered mixed reviews despite its economic success.
After a twelve-year hiatus, the series returned in 2007 with “Live Free or Die Hard” (also called “Die Hard 4.0”), featuring a much older John McClane, years divorced and now estranged from his daughter Lucy.
A group of high-tech cyberterrorists commanded by the remarkable Thomas Gabriel (played by Timothy Olyphant from “A Perfect Getaway”). McClane must face a brand new threat with the help of a hacker named Matthew Farrell (‘Galaxy Quest’ star Justin Long).
With the country’s security system at stake and his daughter Lucy in Gabriel’s sights, he can’t afford any more mistakes. “Live Free or Die Hard” was a modest economic success and received mostly favorable reviews.
The franchise’s latest installment is 2013’s “A Good Day to Die Hard.” John McClane teams up with his son Jack (Jai Courtney of the notorious “Suicide Squad”), a CIA spy who was secretly operating in Russia to denounce a senior Russian official Viktor Chagrin.
The father-son team must put aside their differences and work together to keep deadly weapons-grade uranium out of the hands of the bad guys. “A Good Day to Die Hard” received mixed reviews from viewers and critics, but made a profit.
